‘Welcome Sideboard’, 2021

In response to bespoke commissions, the Welcome Collection is developing. The tile size, wrapping and functionality remain the same, but the ambition, colour range and physical scale is growing.
This Sideboard petrol blue version was created for a house in London. The piece was made between my Paris and London studios and was a real team effort to pull together – thanks to Daniel Bradley (inner wooden structure) and Marine, Max, Gerald and John.

The detail of the cabinet's design is a product of Matthew's love and commitment to the versatility of the tile, with each one individually hand-made and glazed… to cover and wrap around the surface and interior of the cabinet.
